The innovation never stops at dCS and this month sees the launch of the patent pending (GB0817141.5) Scarlatti Upsampler, a dedicated upsampler or digital to digital converter(DDC) that converts digital audio data at one sample rate to a higher sampler rate.

As well as the usual input suspects, the USB input on Scarlatti Upsampler now forms a gateway for PC and Mac sound files to access the legendary dCS Ring DAC,
providing  higher levels of performance from any industry standard source, including existing CD transports,  Mac and PC hosted music and Media Servers.

NEWS
The Chemical Brothers have just released their new album, 'brotherhood', a best of collection with a twist. According to Tom from the Brothers "practically all the music on brotherhood has been made using a dCS 905 in Orinoco studios as well as our own studio."

This is blasting in the office right now and we love it!

On our travels recently we picked up another new release from Fidelio Recordings, a small studio from Montreal that specialises in quality acoustic recordings using only the best recording and mastering equipment.

'Small is Beautiful' is the latest release on Fidelio and vibrates with Samba, Chilean folk, flamenco Andalou, Hawaiian island melodies and musical strains from Morocco, India and Senegal as well as American bluegrass.

Rene and the guys used
a dCS 905 as the Analogue to Digital converter to produce a great album that sounds amazingly real through a high end system.
